Jason Pfohl and Gorilla Glass Mexico
Jason Pfohl began studying glass in 1992 at Santa Barbara City College in California. After graduating with an art degree, Jason spent five years working as a technical coordinator at Pilchuck Glass School, North of Seattle, where he had the opportunity to study with glass masters from Europe and the U.S.A.
In 1999, after years of making glass jewelry for NYC fashion designers, Jason began making piercing jewelry and founded Gorilla Glass in 2002. Over the last decade Jason has taught glass workshops in the U.S.A, New Zealand, Taiwan, and Mexico. Jason is the designer and responsible for the technical innovation that makes Gorilla Glass famous.
“Gorilla Glass allows me to unite my daily work with my most driving interests… body modification, design, glass, travel, and history. Combine that with being part of a wonderful community who is passionate for what they do, and I feel very lucky.”
